We Are All In This Together

See How We’re Making A Difference

Returning to the Workplace with Confidence

We live values that return our people home safely. Every person. Every site. Every day.

To protect our employees and suppliers, everyone will be required to comply with a robust set of health and safety measures prior to entering our facilities.

Cleaning supplies, medical support, masks and safety glasses are just a few of the protective actions being provided to employees and visitors where appropriate.

We will continuously monitor and adapt our processes to ensure we are doing everything we can to protect our employees and communities.

We are proud to stand with other American companies and our skilled employees to meet the needs of this global pandemic.

Coming Together to Support the Greater Good

Visiting Kokomo, IN to thank employees and mark the start of ventilator mass production.

Everything We’re Doing To Fight The Spread Of This Disease:

  • GM is producing the Ventec Life Systems V+Pro critical care ventilator under contract to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
  • We are directing $3.5 million in grant funding to nonprofit organizations across the country to address increasing critical needs.
  • With a severe shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in our health care system, we began manufacturing face masks, latex-free face shields, protective gowns and aerosol boxes.
  • We set up donation portals for customers and employees who want to lend a virtual hand – monetarily or using My Rewards points.
  • GM employees and others are giving blood in local communities with a simple online pledge as part of the SleevesUp Campaign in partnership with the American Red Cross.
  • We have expanded cleaning and sanitization services throughout our facilities for team members performing critical services.
  • Production in our North American manufacturing operations has been suspended.
  • Most of our salaried employees are working from home in an effort to reduce the spread of the virus.
  • IT and Internal Communication resources are available to employees to help them and their families adjust to working from home.
  • Should a customer require emergency repairs, know that our award-winning service technicians and customer care professionals are available to handle their vehicle service needs.
  • To help workers in essential services across the country, we will produce up to 50,000 Level 1 face masks daily – or 1.5 million a month.
  • U.S. healthcare professionals on the front lines of the crisis are now eligible for our First Responder Discount, through the end of June 2020. The discount is equivalent to our military and supplier discounts.
  • For those who need a new car, truck or SUV, we’re offering interest-free APR financing for an unprecedented 84 months1 for very well-qualified buyers on most 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, Silverado 1500 and Trax models, most 2020 GMC Sierra 1500, Acadia, and Terrain models and most 2020 Buick Encore and Envision models.
